You have to go after it with a club.”

― Jack London

Add a Daily Dose of Inspiration To Your Life...

Feeling inspired is just one of the ways to nourish your spirit and add more life into your daily living. Inspiration ignites both your desire and purpose. It also helps you to see what more you are capable of.

When you are inspired, you naturally feel better off, strengthened and inspired. You will naturally begin to move out of your comfort zone and think outside the box in your own life. You become more present, aware and involved in your life. Now, doesn't that sound like a life worth living?

Starting today, make it a daily routine to nourish your spirit and learn to bring out the best of “you” in everything you do.

  • Choose to do something every day that inspires you
  • Notice how it influences the way you experience life each day
  • Then, encourage your inner circle to do the same
  • Finally, see the difference you can make in your own life

Remember, life can ALWAYS BE BETTER!

Positive Daily Habits

Every person on earth will experience happy moments. Those moments lift us up. They open our hearts and increase our energy. However, maintaining this elevated state of being is not easy. It takes well planned daily rituals.

Multiple studies suggest that those “happy” feelings start to fade within five to ten minutes unless they are encouraged. By actively choosing to appreciate, share and relive our “happy” moments we can increase our positive emotions, which also improves our health, originality, hardiness and overall well-being.

It is important to make the choice to create positive daily habits that help you appreciate the happy moments you experience each and every day. Take the time to put one idea into action this week and start enjoying your new overall happiness.

  • Be sure to share your highpoints. Make it a habit to review the day’s highpoints, perhaps at dinner. When you share your joy it uniquely expands your positive feelings.
  • Seize the moment. Work to take a mental picture of the moments that lift your spirits the most. It is true that a picture is worth a thousand words. The images you choose to save have the power to bring us back. Thus, making it much easier to relive the experience when you need a pick-me-up.
  • Journal your experiences. I know, journaling can be time consuming. However, when you journal you capture those positive experiences on paper. The simple act of journaling anchors the memory and teaches your brain to see more of what lifts your spirits.

Remember, life can ALWAYS BE BETTER!

This Weekend, Get Plugged In At Home...

Technology is a great tool. It provides an amazing freedom and flexibility to our lives. However, technology can also keep us tied down to work 24/7 if we do not make the choice to separate ourselves and be present in our lives.

When we choose to be constantly plugged in, there is a portion of our energy and focus remains attached on the future. This attachment makes it difficult to connect with the people we love. Additionally, the anticipation of what is yet to come minimizes the moment we are in.

This Memorial Day weekend give the gift of being present. Make the choice to experience the fullness of your life. If you can, take time to notice how time slows down when you are in the here and now.

  • GOAL #1: Completely unplug for at least 24 hours
  • GOAL #2: Pay close attention to what you experience during this time
  • GOAL #3: Repeat as often as you can make time
  • GOAL #4: Make the time!

Remember, life can ALWAYS BE BETTER!

Reduce The Clutter To Increase Your Energy...

It is truly amazing how fast we fill up our living spaces. For most people, amassing “stuff” gives a feeling of security. While at the same time, all of this “stuff” also leaves us feeling drained and weighed down.

The environments we choose for ourselves have a meaningful impact on your inspiration, liveliness and motivation. This is why it is so important to deliberately create living spaces that will encourage, renew and motivate you.

By simply reducing the clutter and removing the surplus, you can instantly unlock and increase the energy in your environment. Simply invest one hour this weekend freeing and establishing your space. Then, pay attention to how much better it makes you feel.

  • Start by scheduling an hour this weekend to de-clutter your life
  • Next, focus your attention on freeing and establishing one space at a time
  • Then, repeat weekly until every space in your life feels good
  • Finally, enjoy the abundance that comes with freedom from your “stuff”

Remember, life can ALWAYS BE BETTER!

Coping With Uncertainty

In today’s world the degree of change we go through can feel overwhelming at times. As we see global uncertainty continuing to persist, it appears that almost everyone is feeling a just a little anxious these days.

The fears that anxiety brings can quickly distort your balance if you are not paying close attention. When left unattended, your thoughts can rapidly twist reality and leave you feeling helpless, weary and filled with fear. Now is when you need to get a good grip on reality and process through.

It is possible to experience how you can reduce the pain of uncertainty with just a little clarity and perspective. Make the choice to give the process a test this week and pay attention to how well It works.

  • Start by choosing one worry that has been plaguing you
  • Then, write down the worst things that could possibly happen to you regarding that fear
  • Next, ask yourself this question: Can you live with/through that situation should it ever come about
  • Follow through and recognize what you can do to make things better
  • Finally, make the choice to take action to decrease your fear and strengthen your perspective today

Remember, life can ALWAYS BE BETTER!

What Is Holding YOU Back?

“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve:
the fear of failure.”

― Paulo Coelho

It is time to experience what more is possible!

There are immeasurable ways we choose to hold ourselves back from even slightly reaching our full potential. We create many ways of voluntary restrictions as to what is possible for us through our thoughts and intentions.

It has been well recorded that our belief system affects not only how we behave but how we perform as well. Our beliefs even form our lifestyle. In fact, when we choose to believe something is possible we will find a way to make it happen. Furthermore, when we do not believe something is possible we will hardly even try. It is pretty easy to understand this simple truth.

Now, imagine what life would be like if instead of creating boundaries we choose to create possibilities. We are aware that the mind cannot come up with a vision or goal that we are not capable of accomplishing. We just have to be willing to think big, or at least think bigger, and take action on our desires. Now, go ahead, give it a try.

  • Start by identifying your core beliefs. Look at how they are shaping your perceptions about your relationships, your career, your finances, your health, etc…
  • Next, determine which of those core beliefs are true and sustain you in living a complete life. Then take the time to look for those that are really based in fear (remember the acronym for fear is False Energy Against Reality) and limit your potential.
  • Finally, choose to explore what more would/could be possible if you were willing to let go of the beliefs that are holding you back.

Remember, life can ALWAYS BE BETTER!

Choose To Be Productive!

“Sometimes our stop-doing list needs to be bigger than our to-do list.”
― Patti Digh

You Need To Slow Down To Go Faster...

The world has trained us to believe that more we do the more productive we will be. Because of this, we voluntarily trade our time and energy today for possible joy and satisfaction tomorrow.

We fill up our calendars and over fill our To-Do lists with more events than are humanly possible. We make the choice to stay in constant motion and push through, day after day after day. Then we wonder why we are always exhausted, burned-out and unfilled.

Fortunately, we can change. It is possible to slow down, focus and prioritize. It is possible to make the choice to say “no” to what does not matter. We can choose to be fully present, which will actually increase our productivity. It is possible to create the breathing room we need and still enjoy each and every day.

When we make the choice to remain present in our own lives and stay focused, time magically feels as if it is slowing down. Make the choice to experience the magic it this week.

  • Start by doing less – identify what matters most and focus on those things
  • Be aware of your actions – only focus on one thing at a time
  • Take time to breathe – choose to create space in each and every day
  • Finally – enjoy the magic of slowing down to go faster!

Remember, life can ALWAYS BE BETTER!

Create Positive Nightly Habits

Everyone has had nights where sleep seems impossible. Our minds starts to race, and the problems of what tomorrow holds are compounded by the things that were left undone today.

When we make the choice to create a new habit we commit ourselves to work on an idea or situation that will assist us in getting what we desire. One of those habits can and probably should be creating bedtime rituals. Bedtime rituals that help the mind and body to relax are key to getting a good night's sleep. Getting a good night’s sleep is the foundation to our physical and mental well-being. A good night’s sleep strengthens our health, emotional stability, mental clarity and resilience. It is no wonder that everything seems easier when we are fully rested.

Take time this evening to develop a nightly ritual to prepare yourself for a successful night’s sleep. Here are a few ideas that have been proven to work. Pick one to put into action tonight.

  • Eliminate screens 45 minutes before sleep. This means no television, computer or tablets.
  • Meditate for 10-15 minutes to calm your inner-being. Prayer works too.
  • Try reading something that inspires you.
  • Start keeping a daily log – gratitude, accomplishments, highlights. Keep it positive and fresh.
  • Be clear. Write down everything that is on your mind and identify action steps for what worries you. Sometime it is easier to fight something when you can see it.
  • Last, remember this: You are great, important and needed!

Remember, life can ALWAYS BE BETTER!

More Happiness Please!

Increase Your Happiness...

Many people, including me, have spent a great deal of thought and energy believing that it is the “stuff” we have that makes us happy. However, when you realize that happiness is not found in stuff, or for that matter status or success, it is much easier to experience more contentment in your life. The thing you need to understand is that happiness is an internal state of mind. Additionally, it is important to understand that happiness is often a reflection of where you choose to place your attention.

For me, it took a failed marriage to a wealthy, abusive woman. We had it all, money, relative success, a higher status in the community than most. I thought I had it all. Truth be told, I did. But, I was not happy. In fact, I was miserable. You see the stuff, status and success just were not enough to replace the loss of self-esteem and self-confidence that I went through. Now, years later and out of that horrible situation, I have once again found that self-respect and fondness for life. I am once again the happy person I always strived to be.

It is true, happiness lies within the domain of your personal power. When you intentionally choose to feel more happiness each day – you will. You will find that when you make the choice to be happy that you bring out the best in not just yourself but in others too.

Make the choice to give it a try, then, repeat daily.

  • Choose to actively look for what is good in every experience
  • Then, Journal your daily highlights
  • Finally, appreciate life’s simple pleasures!

Remember, life can ALWAYS BE BETTER!
