Strengthen Your Perception!

Many times, how quickly the world changes around us can be overwhelming. As global uncertainty continues, the economic woes of the people grow and an countries appear to be more and more determined to focus on war instead of peace, it seems that almost everyone is feeling a little more anxious than normal these days.

The fears that anxiety so openhandedly brings can and will tip the canoe of life and throw you off balance if you are not paying close attention. If you are not careful, your thoughts can quickly twist reality and leave you feeling powerless, weak and filled with fear. This is when you really need to get a good grasp on your life.

My favorite acronym for fear is this. False Energy Against Reality. How true it is that we give great power to our fears. The energy we give them is overpowering at times. For me it is heights. I know that high places will not hurt me, but I try very hard NOT TO go to those places. Now, in my old age of 50, I work diligently to intentionally fight this fear and take the power away from it, thus freeing me from the fear itself. I know you can do this too! I HAVE FAITH IN YOU!!

Make the choice to day to experience how you can reduce the pain of living with doubt and tell your fears they will no longer hold you back. Start the fight against uncertainty with a little clear cut perspective and a more focused clarity about who you can be if you just try.

  • You can start by picking a worry or fear that has been holding you back.
  • Identify the fear and write down the worst things that could possibly happen (What if the elevator gets stuck?, I might fall off!)
  • Then, ask yourself if you can live with that situation should it ever happen (Well, they will eventually get the elevator to work again., Then again, if I fall I can always get back up again.)
  • Start to identify what you can do to make these fears powerless (I can take the elevator to the top, it will be OK., There is a railing there to keep me from falling.)
  • Finally, take action to reduce your “False Energy” and begin to live a life based on “Actual Results” today
  • Be F.E.A.R.L.E.S.S. (Finding Energy’s Actual Results by Living Every Single Step)

Remember, life can ALWAYS BE BETTER!

Four Steps To Shining Brighter...

Believe it or not, you and only you, hold the power to improve your overall sense of satisfaction. Every decision you make is doing one of two things. These choices are either adding to or subtracting from your overall condition. Things like joy, happiness, health, satisfaction and success are at your control.

Best of all, when you make the conscious choice to take action in any area of life, whether it be emotional, mental, physical or spiritual, you build inner strength on many levels. When you are truly inspired to create and recreate positive changes, and are equally willing to a chance and learn, there is no end to the satisfaction you are capable of experiencing.

Make the choice today to commit yourself to becoming a brighter you. Choose to make one more positive decisions each and every day. Then, pay attention and feel the link between the choices you make and how you experience life. Making these choices on a daily routine will not only help you to get good at living, but it will help others to see you in a different light. You will become the person you were created to be!

  • Start by identifying the areas you would like to strengthen most.
  • Then, make a list of several simple steps you can take to achieve that goal.
  • Next, see yourself taking action and feeling satisfied in your life.
  • Finally, make the choice to utilize one of those steps to put into action.
  • Repeat daily

Remember, life can ALWAYS BE BETTER!

Give Yourself Room!

Create Space...

Are you looking for an idea that will make it easier to maintain your positivity, generate inspiration and keep you energized? If so, then this might just help. Make the choice to invest a little time deliberately making “your” space.

Studies show that the condition of our physical space is like a mirror and reflects back to us the condition of our lives. When our lives are messy we let our space be messy right along with them. I know I am guilty of this from time to time. However, by being proactive and taking initiative we can help ourselves to a better life. If you are like me, life is looking awfully full and chaotic most days, let’s say cluttered. Sadly, cluttered environments leave us feeling exhausted, which makes it hard to imagine taking on anything else.

However, life is far easier when you are backed by a clear, organized atmosphere. Well-balanced spaces make you feel better mentally, physically and even emotionally. These spaces give strength to your mental awareness, greatly boost your disposition and make it even easier to see the big picture.

So, take the time to refresh your surroundings this week. Let go of the stuff you no longer need and give yourself a fresh start with a little more breathing room.

  • Start by cleaning up your surface clutter. This is the area you see first. This could be overwhelming, so take it in steps. Walk away when it gets to be too much and come back to it when you are clear again. (This should only be five to ten minutes, not next week)
  • Then organize your work spaces. Give yourself a gift. Crete the space you have always dreamed of, “your” thinking space.
  • Last, it is time to clean out your closet or junk drawer. This is the most difficult for me. “I might need that someday!” rings a bell. Well, here is a good rule of thumb. If it has dust covering it or you don’t remember where or why you got it, it needs to go.
  • Finally, enjoy your new surroundings!

Remember, life can ALWAYS BE BETTER!

Just Be Yourself!

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the
greatest accomplishment.”

― Ralph Waldo Emerson

It's Good To Be You...

Many times, children are often taught to believe that if they are to be accepted they must change who they are. “Why can’t you be more like him”, “Why don’t you act more like her”, are common phrases we hear growing up. Sadly, we learn that it is a bad thing to be different and that being like everyone else is a good thing. Compliance quickly becomes the only way of life as we are desperately trying to fit in.

Then, as we become adults, we continue to pretend to be something or someone we are not in the hope of avoiding rejection. We strive to create ourselves with an outer image of who we “think or believe” others want us to be. Then, like an Oscar nominated actor, we play our roles in search of that little thing called acceptance. I know I have done this, and I am guessing you might have done this too.

Fortunately, in most people, there comes a time when we are just sick and tired of putting on the act. Most of us stop worrying about what others think of us and start to take pride in who we are. It is at that moment that you will begin to experience greater happiness and harmony just being yourself. Best of all, you will begin to feel the joy being loved for who you really are instead of the person you have been trying to be.

  • Remember this…You are great just how God created you…Be yourself!!
  • Being yourself allows you to enjoy how good it really feels to be you.
  • Let others see the real you by bringing your personal individuality into the world. It will change your life!

Remember, life can ALWAYS BE BETTER!

Time To Increase Your Happiness...

“Don't cry because it's over,

It Only Takes One a Day!

Every person on Earth experiences happy moments. Those moments will lift our spirits, unlock our hearts and increase our overall energy. However, to maintain this heightened state of being takes practice.

Studies show that the average happy feeling lasts for about three to five minutes before beginning to fade away. However, when we make note of these special times and choose to share and relive them, it is then possible to extend the life of our positive emotions.

This is a choice though. It is important to choose to make it a daily practice to identify and be thankful for all of your positive moments. I am going to show you a few ideas specifically designed to increase your happiness. Choose to try one this week and start enjoying the feeling of renewed happiness.

  • Start by keeping a daily journal. Write down all of your positive experiences. When you choose to write down these experiences it secures the memory in your brain and boosts your mood.
  • Then share your highpoints with others. Make it a habit to tell the day’s highpoints to others. By sharing you joyful experiences you exponentially expand your own positive emotions as well as those of the people you share them with. We call this a twofer!
  • Believe it or not, a picture really is worth a thousand words! Try to take a picture of those joyful moments. Then, you can make a slide show, using one of your favorite songs, and start to realize how much you are getting out of life.
  • Smile! When you smile it is contagious. Try it! Smile at someone today and see what happens.

Remember, life can ALWAYS BE  BETTER!

Strengthen Your Environment!

It is human nature to be cooperative. People, you and I, are actually hard wired to be generous and encouraging to one another. All of the best coaches and leaders throughout the world know this one simple truth: Teams accomplish more when they choose to work together.

Sadly, many of us grew up in an environment that trained us to compete. We consistently focus on being better than someone else instead of just being the best at what we do. At some point most of us were led to believe that in order to survive, we must be better than those around us if we want to advance. The problem is that just does not work because it goes directly against what we were created to be, cooperative, collaborative people.

In a business, internal competition many times creates dissension, limits resources and fuels the fear of failure. Inversely, cooperation can lead to a growth in your business through the sharing of ideas, bigger and better visions and an even stronger overall purpose. It is through our shared talents and strengths that we can truly increase development.

  • Start today by looking for ways to develop, and build a cooperative support system in your work and at home
  • Create a list of ideas that will help create a strong foundation
  • Then, start with one idea and move forward
  • As you maintain one idea then add others to compliment the system.

Remember, life can ALWAYS BE BETTER!

You Must Know when To Say "No"!

“It takes effort to say no when our heart and brains and guts and,
most important, pride are
yearning to say yes.

― Cole Harmonson

Start By Setting Healthy Boundaries...

It is early in life when we learn that one of the quickest ways to make friends, and fit in socially, is to be a “Yes Man”! It is always so easy to say, “Yes, Sure, Why Not”. Of course, in most cases there will be a great deal of positive reinforcement when we choose to be agreeable.

After all, what could give us more pleasure than receiving those kudos. So subtle are sacrifices we make in the essence of pleasing others. Sadly, when our personal needs go unmet for a long period we many times are left feeling somewhere between run down to downright offended.

That is why it is important to learn when to say no. Believe it or not, saying no can be, and many times, is a good thing. By saying no it sets boundaries. It means you know your limits and that you give yourself enough respect to make the choice to take care of yourself. It is important to set healthy boundaries for yourself to create the encouragement you need and desire.

  • Begin by identifying the areas you need to set some boundaries
  • Then the hard part. Practice keeping them every day. – I know you can do it!
  • Finally, pay close attention to how you feel when you choose to take care of your needs

Remember, life can ALWAYS BE BETTER!

Use Your Inner-Intelligence!

Everyone has a sense of awareness that provides intuitive direction when they take the time to tune in and listen. Some people call it intuition others call it a gut instinct and scientists call it whole brain functioning.

What you choose to call it, there is no refuting its value. Sadly, most of us see the value of such awareness after its nudging has been completely ignored. We have all had those times when we look back with regret and say “why didn’t I listen to my gut”.

We all need to learn to tap into your inner-intelligence and increase our ability to make better decisions. By using this simple practice you can more genuinely activate your awareness and your discernment. Choose to make the effort today and see what benefits come from your actions.

  • First, find a question where you would like more clarity
  • Second, take a moment for yourself - close your eyes, settle in and become fully aware
  • Third, focus your attention on your breathing to help you calm your thoughts
  • Then, turn your full attention to your question - look at the possible directions you have contemplated
  • Next, and this is important, pay attention to the images or feelings that arise within you as you consider each possible direction - write these images or feelings down!
  • Finally, keep track of your experiences and see how often following your “gut” pays off

the essence of life.”

Raise Your Spirits...

There is only so much emotional stress you can choose to handle before you allow yourself to get into a bad place. In fact, when your energy is low it is even easier to give in to the fear and negativity that surrounds you.

This is the very reason I believe it is so important to create positive daily habits that will keep you feeling strong and restore your emotional reserves. Choose to make it a habit to devote time daily to strengthen your energy every day and begin to experience more contentment, better health and a more fulfilling overall sense of happiness.

Here are three simple tips to help you refresh, recharge and renew your emotional well-being. Choose to take action today and create an atmosphere of peace, joy and happiness in your life.

  • Start by moving your body every day – just 20-30 minutes of exercise can lift your temperament for up to 12 hours!

  • Choose to practice appreciation – a little gratitude goes a long way, and it creates lots of positive emotions that will strengthen your attitude, incentive and overall health.

  • Listen to inspirational music – music has the ability to quickly boost your disposition, increase your energy and transform your point of view.

Remember, life can ALWAYS BE BETTER!
